Gridded maps of building patterns throughout 47 African countries

GISRede has further enhanced the great work done by Google Open Buildings in extracting building footprints in 47 African countries by calculating the patterns of these data in 1km grid cells. In this iteration, for each 1km grid cell that contains a building, we calculate the total area and total count of buildings within the cell. If you would like this data at higher resolutions, please contact one of our experts to discuss your options.
